Admissions Overview
Practical Nursing Information Packet
Step 1 Attend an Information Session with a Cape Coral
Technical College Admissions Specialist. Information Sessions
are available Tuesdays at 9:30 AM. No appointment is
necessary.
Step 2 Register for the Test of Essential Academic Skills
(TEAS) at atitesting.com/teas/register. The TEAS must be taken in person at Cape Coral Technical College or Fort Myers Technical College.
Applicants will complete a 1-page handwritten Admission Essay after completing their TEAS.
Step 3 Complete the online Admissions Application.
NOTE: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).

- Our PN Program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- After successful completion of the program students receive a certificate of completion and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN), WHICH is required for licensure in the state of Florida. CCTC NCLEX-PN Pass Rates: 2014, 100%; 2015, 97%; 2016, 96%; 2017, 100%; 2018, 100%; 2019, 100%; 2020, 100%
- Students also earn 10 credit hours, or more, toward an Associate Degree in Registered Nursing at any Florida Community College.
